Unlike conventional speakers that have 6 dB of sound pressure reduction per doubling of distance, Axon becomes only 3 dB quieter. This provides a more even sound distribution in the listening area, where the sound is not too strong near the speaker and still clear and understandable at a distance.

The speaker has a curved bottom for good coverage at close range, while the back wall is straight to allow mounting directly on walls or on stands with an invisible bracket. Together with the slim construction, this results in an elegant and discreet design, making Axon ideal for fixed installations and mobile use where both sound quality and appearance are important.

The angled Speakon connector panel can be replaced with a contact plate with Phoenix connector or waterproof PG cable gland. For aerial or tripod operation and installations, various threaded mounts, swivel mounts, wall and mast mounts are available. A safety point allows a safety line to be attached with a simple nail for prescribed secondary protection.
