Description
The Modular series is extremely versatile and innovative, combining array point-source systems with multi-functional standalone speakers. In addition to being used as a single full-range speaker, a high-performance main speaker with bass support, or a high-performance stage monitor, the Modular series is also designed for use with multiple units placed side-by-side in a horizontal array configuration.
Potential interference and related sound disruptions between audio sources are minimized by using special cabinet geometry and the narrower beam angle of the rotatable horn. Each horn operates exclusively in its defined sound direction. This technology offers users a broader range of applications with a single speaker model and is registered with the patent office.
"Easyfly" (also patented) is a new "one-click" mechanism that allows for tool-free suspension and precise alignment in seconds. The mechanism is sleeker and smaller than conventional rigging brackets. The Modular series features discreet mounting rails on two sides of the cabinet, allowing the speaker to be hung or flown vertically or horizontally using the "Easyfly" mechanism. On the back, a third mounting rail is provided for the mandatory safety cable.
For precise alignment on a stand or mounting pole, the Modular series includes an internal tilting mechanism, enabling +/- 18° tilt adjustment.
The Modular-10 utilizes a state-of-the-art 10" chassis designed specifically for clean, detailed midrange with high, distortion-free sound pressure. A particularly low moving mass (mms 31g) combined with the extremely powerful neodymium driver (B/L factor 20) allows for very high sound pressure levels. The chassis handles heavy usage well, with optimized heat dissipation keeping power compression low. The magnet system incorporates ventilation openings, and aluminum demodulation rings enhance performance.
The Modular-10 can be installed using the "Easyfly" mechanism, rear-mounted tilting and rotating wall brackets, or the 8 internal M10 threaded points with steel brackets.
Control
The standard horn is 90° x 40°. If two Modular-10 speakers are to be used side by side in an array, the horn must be rotated to avoid interference.
