Technical Data

  • LF Element: 12" Neodymium (3" VC)
  • HF Element: 1.4" Neodymium (3" VC)
  • Frequency range: 63 Hz - 18 kHz
  • Dispersion (H x V): 60°x40° or 90°x60°
  • Impedance: 8 Ω

Features

  • Easyfly: Tool-free rigging on two sides.
  • Tilt flange: Adjustable tripod cup +/- 13.5°.
  • Fullrange capable: Works great without a sub.

Advanced Array Geometry: The Modular-12P is designed to be used side-by-side in a horizontal array. By rotating the horn to 40° x 60°, interference is minimized and provides a homogeneous dispersion.

Description

Product Information

The Modular series is highly flexible and innovative, combining array point-source systems with multi-functional standalone speakers. In addition to being used as a single full-range speaker, a high-performance main unit with bass support, or a high-performance stage monitor, the Modular series is also designed for side-by-side use in horizontal configurations.

Potential interference and associated sound disruptions between sound sources are minimized using special cabinet geometry, suitable for the narrower beam angle of the rotatable horn. Each horn operates exclusively in its defined sound direction. This technology provides users with an even greater range of applications from a single speaker model and is registered with the patent office.

"Easyfly" (also patented) is a new "one-click" mechanism that allows for tool-free suspension and precise alignment in seconds. The mechanism is sleeker and smaller than conventional rigging brackets. The Modular series features discreet mounting rails on two sides of the cabinet, allowing the speaker to be hung or flown upright or horizontally using the "Easyfly" mechanism. A third mounting rail on the back is provided for the mandatory safety cable.

For precise alignment on a stand or mounting pole, the Modular series includes an internal tilting mechanism, enabling tilt adjustment of +/- 18°.

For installation, the Modular-12 is equipped with the "Easyfly" mechanism, 12 swivel wall brackets, or internal M12 threaded points with steel brackets.

Control

The bass driver is 8 Ω, and the compression driver is 16 Ω.

Two Modular-12 units can be linked with a 4-pin cable. They can be looped and driven in parallel by the same amplifier channel.

An HDSP-6 amplifier can accommodate up to four Modular-12 bi-amp connections.

Array

For maximum flexibility, users can choose between two different beam angles: 60° x 40° or 90° x 60°. The horn can be swapped for bi-amping control at any time. In the HDSP amplifier series and the control card for self-powered subwoofers, specific speaker settings are saved as presets for both viewing angles.

  • Modular with horn 60° x 40° (v x h)
  • Modular with rotated 40° x 60° horn (v x h), minimizing interference
