VENIA-8

Voice-Acoustic VENIA-8 is a 2-way bi-amped column line array speaker, equipped with 4 x 8" drivers and 4 x 1" compression drivers. The high-frequency drivers are coupled to a line array waveguide and produce a dispersion angle of 100° horizontally and 0°/-20° vertically via a large horn.

The HF section in the VENIA series provides vertically asymmetric sound pressure coverage with a flat wavefront. The principle of larger line arrays is transferred to the VENIA speakers in a compact column format: the high-frequency energy is focused to cover longer distances, while the near-field is addressed through curvature with lower energy content distributed over a larger area. The result is a highly balanced level distribution across the entire listening area with very homogeneous sound distribution. This gives the VENIA-8 a significant advantage as a standalone speaker and is also simpler and faster to set up and deploy than conventional line array systems.

With its sleek appearance, the VENIA series offers a valuable aesthetic in all mobile applications and fixed installations. The beautifully curved front grille with subtle mini honeycomb perforations and large R50 side radii makes the speaker look very elegant and integrates discreetly even in architecturally sophisticated environments. With the optional X-Tension, a designer stand in the same enclosure format, the VENIA-8 becomes a design sculpture and can be elevated to a visually appealing height. A steel base plate is available to ensure the X-Tension stands securely. Additionally, the X-Tension can be mounted on any subwoofer with an M20 flange.

Due to its low crossover frequency, the VENIA-8 can be combined with any subwoofer. With its above-average performance of nearly 140 dB at a weight of just 35 kg, it is also a powerful Main-PA in combination with multiple subwoofers. A stereo pair of VENIA-8 can be combined with up to eight Paveosub-118. Thanks to the powerful high-frequency driver, the VENIA-8 always plays relaxed and pleasantly, even at high volumes, and meets even the highest sound demands.

The VENIA-8’s sophisticated detail solutions and extensive range of accessories enable a variety of applications and installations. The integrated pole mount, the tool-free attachable Voice-Acoustic Easyfly mechanism, or U- and C-brackets and various M10 mounting points leave nothing to be desired. For best handling in mobile operation, up to 20 U-shaped handles can be mounted vertically and horizontally on the back. A safety cable for secondary security can be attached with a single bolt. Two VENIA speakers can be used in a head-stacking configuration, extending the scope of use.

Like other Voice-Acoustic speakers, the enclosure is made from high-quality heavy-duty birch plywood: CNC-milled, grooved, screwed, and waterproof bonded. The surface is protected by a durable and moisture-resistant polyurethane coating in black. White speakers and special colors with 2K textured paint are available as options. The Voice-Acoustic VENIA series sets a new standard for performance and design in high-performance column line system speakers.

Control

The VENIA-8 is bi-amping controlled on two channels (1,580 W/8 Ω + 450 W/8 Ω) by the HDSP-6 amplifiers. This allows both channels to be limited, filtered, separated, and time-compensated independently.

The woofer and compression driver are 8 Ω.

Two VENIA-8 bi-amping units can be connected to one HDSP-6.
